Each month, we take your event revenue and subtract your direct event costs, the AI generation cost for every portrait or poem, and the €200 platform subscription. What remains is the estimated monthly gross contribution.

Payback is the €24,950 booth investment divided by that monthly contribution. It is only calculated when the contribution is positive. First-year and three-year cash are 12 and 36 months of contribution, minus the investment.

Gross contribution is not net profit. It leaves out company overhead, tax, depreciation, financing, downtime and unforeseen costs.

We operate Poem Booth events ourselves, every month. The revenue per event in the Conservative and Typical scenarios is the real median from paid Poem and Portrait Booth events VOUW ran in 2026, with each invoice matched to its booking. All amounts exclude VAT.

Revenue and generation counts are hard numbers. Direct costs such as staff and local travel aren’t booked per event, so the €300 per event is an assumption, as are the 250 AI outputs. Replace them with your own.
